Bella's Mini King Cakes
A King Cake is a special dessert that has been passed down from generation to generation to aide in the celebration of Mardi Gras. It originated in New Orleans in the eighteenth century and still is alive and well today. The cinnamon dough can be plain or embedded with different types of fillings including, cream cheese, pralines and preserves. Once baked they are iced and decorated in Mardi Gras colors.
